Wedding Cakes

All wedding cakes are customized and made to your specifications and preferences. We offer many different styles of wedding cakes from stacked tiered cakes to cupcake towers. We can create beautiful tiered designs for buttercream and fondant iced cakes. If you are looking for the not-so-traditional design, we offer a variety of cupcake towers. The wedding cupcake towers are usually created with a 6-inch showpiece cake as the cake topper and we cascade the cupcakes below on a tiered cake stand. All cupcakes can be customized with toppers and/or other decorations. I provide decorative non-edible dummy cakes and mini individual tiered fondant cakes as well.

Servings
The cake servings are estimated based on the shape of your tier and how generous each cake serving is cut. The standard single serving of cake is 2" length by 1" wide by 4" high. The cakes consist of 4 layers of cake and 3 layers of filling.

Cake Orders
All wedding cake orders must be placed with at least three (3) months lead time to ensure the availability of services to be provided. The services requested depend on our schedule and availability. We encourage you to schedule a cake consultation to check the baker's availability, discuss details of cake design and pricing. A cake consultation is recommended for all wedding cakes orders. The consultation will ensure that I obtain the correct information regarding your cake design & details, pricing, and the logistics of the wedding. The non-refundable deposit will reserve your cake order date and my services. At the cake consultation, we provide you with your cake tasting, where you sample the flavor combinations of your choice. Any questions and concerns regarding your cake will be answered at your consultation.

Cake Tasting
For the cake tasting, please select up to 4 cake flavors and 5 filling flavors (from our flavor list) that you are interested in for your wedding cake. The cake tasting serves up to 4 to5 guests and I provide you with samples to take home as well. Please provide us with your flavor choices and the cake tasting form, at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled cake consultation date. If you do not see a flavor you like on the list, please let me know and I can customize it to your request. There is a small fee for requests to try additional specialty flavors.

Delivery
We deliver our cakes to the Washington D.C Metro area, Northern VA, Southern MD, and Eastern WV areas. Delivery prices vary depending on location. Please contact me to find out if I deliver to your area.
